Losko Magazine has curated the most stylish wristwatches to showcase 8 current fashion trends. Gadgets may have diminished the watch's purely practical role, but it remains an accessory that speaks to individual character.
1. Marble Dial
"It's better to buy one thing, but make it a good one" — that is the philosophy of the founders of The Horse.
The minimalist watches from "The Stone Collection", crafted from natural, noble materials, are truly unique works of art — no two stone patterns are alike. The marble dial, offered in two base colours, ensures the watches will suit every taste.
2. An Eye for Detail
Danish company Bulbul and the Scandinavian design collective KiBiSi have unveiled the fruit of their collaboration: the Ore watch, a clean timepiece in a minimalist design.
The watch has a refined, understated appearance: a high-quality steel-framed dial with an ultra-resistant sapphire crystal, a Milanese mesh bracelet, and a contrasting accent detail bearing the brand name.
3. Chronograph
The Kiura Watch is a stylish chronograph wristwatch designed by Italian industrial designer Alessio Romano for Projects Watches.
In developing this model, the team stripped the design back to its essential elements, removing every superfluous detail. The clean aesthetic is an embodiment of refinement and impeccable style.
The watch case is crafted from black stainless steel, and the 20 mm strap is, naturally, made from premium leather. The dial is offered in two base colours: white and black.
4. Transparent dial
The designer behind this project pushed back against the stereotypical image of the analogue watch. Roderick retained full functionality and ease of use, but deliberately constructed the timepiece to create a complete sense of lightness. In this minimalist watch, the hands are attached to the rim, making the dial entirely transparent.
Unfortunately, the project currently exists only as a concept. However, its creator is confident that this unisex watch will appeal to a modern generation of people who appreciate aesthetically beautiful products.
5. The classics
The classics never go out of style, and the makers of Instrmnt know it.
Crafted from premium materials, these watches make an elegant addition to any outfit. The designers drew inspiration from mid-twentieth-century industrial design, so there is nothing superfluous here: just the time and date. A Swiss movement, sapphire crystal glass and an Italian leather strap make them not only stylish but built to last.
6. No hands
Handless watches have long since stopped surprising anyone. Rotating discs are increasingly replacing traditional dials.
The team at DesignWright developed the distinctive NUNO watch exclusively for Lexon.
It is a quartz watch with a steel case and a leather strap. The time is easily read via two markers that indicate the hours and minutes respectively. The watch is currently available in four colour variants, each equally appealing in its simplicity.
7. Asymmetry
Another result of the collaboration between Bulbul and the KiBiSi design collective is a watch with an asymmetric dial. The inspiration for this project came from pebbles found on Scandinavian beaches.
The Pebble watch harmoniously combines organic forms with materials that meet the highest quality standards: a Swiss movement, Italian leather and sapphire crystal glass.
8. Minimalism
New Zealand brand I Love Ugly has introduced a simple, stylish watch designed for everyday wear. A robust silicone strap, a minimalist construction and a laser-engraved logo all reflect the essence of a clean-design timepiece with an easy-to-read dial. The watch is also available in grey, black and mint.
